Welcome to our fourth generation farm! My Great Grandpa lived here and worked on the railroad and started an Orchard Farm in the late 1890’s early 1900’s. Grandpa moved closer to town where my Grandma was from and purchased their first farm out where our family still farms today. When my dad got married he helped on the farm and they started a cheese plant and a pig farm to go along with the crops they raised. My dad slowly started farming his own farm while still helping my grandpa and eventually they got out of the cheese plant and the pig business but still fed cattle off and on throughout the years, but now they only farm corn, wheat, and mostly alfalfa. For the last 15 to 20 years, my dad has been packaging wheat for homemakers and people wanting food storage.

I have helped my dad farm my entire life, just like he did with his dad, and just like my kids do with me. I purchased my own farm, but farming can be really hard. My dad's out of the box thinking with packing and selling wheat the way he does helped me be creative and think of new ways I could sell agriculture commodities. This is how I came up with the idea to package alfalfa, orchard grass and other farm products for small pet owners to use.

Now I have my four children and wife who help me farm, wether it is cutting or bailing hay, cleaning ditches, planting and irrigating. We do it as a family. We love the farming lifestyle and what it can teach kids. It is one reason we do it. The kids are a tremendous help with the packaging and shipping side of the business as they can easily handle the 10 and 5 pound packages. It is truly a family owned and ran business.
